Mon 12th - Fri 16th January 2026 Mon 2nd - Fri 6th March 2026 Bringing you the perfect balance of adventure and comfort. Step into the beauty of Scottish winter and gain the skills and confidence required to hike safely in snow and ice. Over 3 unforgettable days, you'll learn essential winter hiking and navigation skills from an experienced mountain leader - including how to plan a safe hike, how to use crampons and axes effectively and what to do in the event of an emergency. Building upon these valuable skills we will then aim to reach a few exciting snow-covered summits. After this trip you will have a greater understanding of what is required to safely enjoy winter hiking, you will have been introduced to a wide rage of essentials skills, you will hopefully have summited a munro or two, and you will have spent 4 nights relaxing in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Each day brings hands-on training in the mountain environment, with time to practice skills. In the evenings, return to your comfortable accommodation where a glass of whisky, wood burning stove and relaxation awaits Bespoke Highland Cottages provide the perfect base for our adventures with their 2 comfortable and stylish cottages. You will be sharing the cottages with other guests on the course. Bedrooms are either double or twin rooms, some of which are en suite. Both cottages offer great communal spaces for chilling out, looking over maps, checking out forecasts and eating good food.
