Booking Terms and Conditions
Payments can be made directly through the website or via an invoice (please send me a message to arrange).
Safety
I take all reasonable steps to provide a level of care and safety appropriate to the nature of the activities offered. However, you should be aware that certain inherent risks remain. These risks are an integral part of adventurous activities and cannot be eliminated without removing their unique character and challenge.
Your Responsibilities
By making a booking, you agree to the following:
-
I accept the risks involved in adventurous activities and travelling in remote, mountainous areas.
-
I have taken out suitable personal insurance that covers the activities I am undertaking.
-
I have the appropriate level of fitness for my chosen activity.
-
I will bring the recommended clothing and equipment listed in the kit list.
-
I have completed and submitted a booking form before my activity.
-
I will ensure all members of my group have completed and submitted their booking forms.
-
I understand that due to the dynamic nature of outdoor activities, Lost Sheep Guiding cannot guarantee exact timings or routes.
-
I will arrive at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time.
If, in my judgment, your health, behaviour, fitness, conduct, or equipment may compromise safety or negatively affect other participants or the public (including late arrival), I reserve the right to cancel or terminate your participation without refund.
Insurance
Lost Sheep Guiding holds public liability insurance. However, it is your responsibility to arrange personal insurance that covers the adventurous activities you are taking part in, including cancellation, medical costs, and personal equipment.
Changes or Cancellations Made by Me
Scottish weather can be severe and unpredictable at any time of year. If your booked activity is affected by conditions, I will always aim to offer a safe and worthwhile alternative. Where this is not possible, you will be offered:
-
An alternative date, or
-
A gift card equal to the full value of your booking.
Changes or Cancellations Made by You
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify me as soon as possible. Refunds or rescheduling will be handled in line with the cancellation policy (below).
Complaints
At Lost Sheep Guiding, I aim to deliver excellent experiences. If you feel I have fallen short of your expectations, I will do my utmost to resolve the issue. However, refunds cannot be issued for activities that have already been delivered.
Cancelation and Refund Policy

-
More than 30 days’ notice: You will receive a full refund of any balance paid beyond the non-refundable deposit.
-
Rebooking Courtesy: If you cancel and we are able to rebook your exact dates at full value with another customer, we will also refund your 30% deposit.
-
-
20 to 30 days’ notice: You will receive a refund for the remaining balance (70%). The 30% deposit remains non-refundable.
-
Fewer than 20 days’ notice: Cancellations made within 20 days of the activity date are strictly non-refundable. However, we will make every effort to offer alternative dates or transfer the full value of your payment onto a gift card (valid for 12 months).
Weather & Unexpected Events
If adverse weather conditions make the activity unsafe (determined at our sole discretion) or if verified ill health prevents you from attending, we will work with you to reschedule for a suitable alternative date. If no alternative date can be agreed upon, you will receive a gift card for the full value of your booking, valid for 12 months.
