Conquer Scotland's winter mountains with confidence. This course offers you essential navigation skills to safety explore Munros even in whiteouts. Develop your map reading, compass skills and route planning with techqniues specifically required for winter conditions, alongside an experienced mountain leader. To explore the fantastic mountains within the UK safely during the winter it is essential to have a good understanding of navigation. Reading a map, walking on a bearing and pacing are all skills that are needed to travel safely and efficiently. So whether you are looking to bag more Munros through the winter, or would like to explore Scotlands hills in their most beautiful winter coat, this course equips you with some of the knowledge and skills to navigate independently and confidently. After this day you will have built confidence in your navigation, discovered a great range of navigational tools and have created a simple strategy to use the next time that you end up in a whiteout.
