Highland Shepherd Huts seamlessly combine comfortable and cosy. They are perfectly nestled into the landscape enabling you to feel connected to your beautiful surroundings as you unwind in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. You’ll experience 3 days exploring the picturesque hills nearby involving navigational top tips, wild swimming and munro summiting. There will be plenty of room to relax with takeaway dinners, cafe stops and time to visit the areas of the park that interest you most. Itinerary Monday Afternoon welcome + arrival | Introductions, overview + Kit Check | Takeaway from a local restaurant (Price not included) Tuesday Map and compass intro | Navigation day | Map and compass skills and practice Wednesday Wild Swim Day | Hike to Loch Avon, using navigation skills | Wild Swim and Lunch | Plan and hike a suitable route back Thursday Munro Summit Hike | Takeaway together from local restaurant (price not included) | Review of the week Friday Morning check out and goodbyes. Accommodation You will stay for 4 nights in one of the unique, comfortable and cosy Highland Shepherd Huts. Each has its own charm and all are slightly different.
